So here are 20 shots of the house empty as purchased. Honestly, we were a bit scared considering the condition of the property, but as it turns out there really weren't any big problems - except one more later on that. It has lots of character, is in a quiet small town with most amenities, is just the right size and came with a picture of Charles DeGaulle on the wall. One of the scary things about purchasing a house in France is that by law you are given a detailed reportof the condition of all the major pieces of the house. And as the house is at least 80 years old, the report - given in writing and briefed orally to you - would scare a lot of people off. We really thought we would have to put in another 50,000€ to make it livable. That wasn't the case - but scary. Enjoy the photos. Oh the one real issue was the boiler - totally inop on arrival. It took 4 visits 45 days and 800€ to get hot water and heat.
